What is a Split System Conditioner?

A Split System Air Conditioner is a rectangular unit which is attached to the wall or floor and only cools and/or heats a single room and an outdoor unit which would be a box located outside of the building. The air is distributed through a vent on the front of the unit.

A remote control is used to turn the unit on/off and to set temperatures etc.

Split System air conditioners are capable of heating/cooling a single room, with sizes varying depending on HP of the unit. Larger more open plan rooms such as kitchens, living or lounge rooms may require more HP than a small bedroom.
