Fast, Reliable Electrical Services in Falcon

Falcon grew up as a holiday settlement and only became a full-time suburb later, which is the single most useful thing to know about its electrical work. Houses that were wired for a few weeks of summer a year are now running air conditioning, dishwashers, home offices and everything else, every day. Add fibro-era construction and a position between the ocean and the estuary, and you get a very particular set of jobs. Our team holds WA Electrical Contractor Licence EC15334 and works to Australian Standards on every visit.

Common Electrical Issues We Fix in Falcon Homes

Falcon's shift from holiday town to permanent suburb shows up in the work more than anywhere else we cover:

Holiday homes now lived in full time

A house wired for a few weeks a year struggles once it becomes a permanent home with aircon, a second fridge and a home office. We assess the whole load rather than the immediate complaint, then add circuits or upgrade the board to suit.

Asbestos eaves and wall sheeting

Homes from the fibro era often have asbestos eaves and cladding, which is exactly where downlights, external lights and points get installed. We identify it before anything is cut or drilled, and either work around it or arrange licensed removal first.

Meter boxes seized shut by salt

Between the ocean and the estuary, meter box doors, hinges and locks corrode until they cannot be opened at all, which blocks meter reading and any work at the board. We free or replace the enclosure and refit it so it opens properly for years.

Air conditioning that sits idle for months

Systems in part-time homes sit unused through winter, then trip the safety switch the first hot day back. Moisture in the isolator and corroded outdoor connections are the usual causes, so we test the circuit and replace what has degraded rather than just resetting it.

Rangehoods venting into the roof

Plenty of older Falcon kitchens have a rangehood that recirculates or discharges straight into the roof space, which puts grease and moisture where you least want them. We install the circuit and isolation for a properly ducted unit that exhausts outside.

Falcon Electrician FAQs

Clear answers to common residential and commercial electrical queries

Yes, Falcon and the coast either side of it are part of our normal run rather than an occasional trip. Standard jobs are generally booked same-day or next-day, and the emergency line operates around the clock.

Start with the switchboard, because it was likely sized for very light seasonal use. We check the board, the safety switches and how the circuits are split, then work out what needs adding before you load it up with air conditioning and everyday appliances.

We identify it first and never cut or drill into it. Depending on the layout we can often work around it entirely, and where the material has to be disturbed we arrange licensed removal before the electrical work goes ahead.

Yes, and it is a common one this close to the water. Depending on how far gone it is we either free and refit the door and hardware or replace the enclosure entirely, so the board is accessible for meter reading and any future work.

That is usually moisture or corrosion in the outdoor isolator or connections after months of sitting idle, and the safety switch is doing its job. We test the circuit, find where it is leaking to earth and replace the affected parts rather than just resetting it.
